You people don't recognize an innovation when you see one.
Of course, nobody's forcing you to buy one. But for everything it's worth I think there's a lot of possibilities for the Revolution's controller, and people will indubitably start to recognize it after it's been released.
There are a few things that have always been hallmarks of Nintendo. One is that their designs are generally fairly simplistic conceptually but play out to be a lot of fun. Another is that the things they do are often questioned but almost always enjoyed. Remember Zelda? Or as it was better known prior to its release, "Celda", and about a million fans swore it off for good and bought the game a month later.
But I suppose its down to how you look at it. Having been a Nintendo junkie pretty munch since I was old enough to play a video game, I'm pretty intent I'm going to buy the Revolution. I'm one of the only people that have actually played a real Virtual Boy, I had pretty much every peripheral for the NES and the SNES, and I bought both the Gamecube and the N64 not more than a month after their respective releases.
Through all that time, I've found Nintendo's never really let me down. I remember questioning the N64 in saying that there was no way it could overcome the PSOne's graphics... anyhow.
The Revolution will be revolutionary.
Case closed.

It seems like it would be relatively hard to play a fast-paced game with a controller such a that; plus I really don't see what's so revolutionary about it. You changed the shape of it and put the buttons in different places, great.
And is that link that Xiao posted supposed to be a movie? It's just showing the 1st frame and a little of the top of the second frame.

well, the controller is reasonable becasue of the super backwards compatiblity.................lets put it this way, i would rather take this controller than the ps3's wireless boomerangs ;D

Well, it also has these sensor detection things that go on your TV.
In one of the demos, there was apparently a plane flying thing, and they just had to move the controller to control the plane.
Also, it's wireless, and it reminds me of the Intellivision's controller.

Hehe, batarangs. And Lost, I never really said that I disliked the controller, only that it looks like a sex toy. I think it'd be fun to play an old school sidescroller with it. When you want to jump, you could tilt it upwards, and speed of running could be altered by tilting the controller further to the right or left. *drools* Actually, now that I think about it, the Revolution will probably roxor. I mean, with it, the possibilities are practically limitless. But the 'Nunchaku' formation still looks hilarious, complete with rumble pak. LOLz. Plus, think of the swordfighting simulations! FPS will be redefined, and you could also have alot of wierd games, such as being the guy with the stick at the front of an orchestra, or duel wielding them to play drums. *drools again*
EDIT: Hehe...intellivision...
