If you have finished any Metroid game, you should know that the % shown at the ending isn't the ammount of the game you went through, but the ammount of Missile Tanks, Super Missile Tanks, Energy Tanks, weapon/jump/etc upgrades you picked up. I finished the game with ZERO Energy Tanks, 1 Missile Tank(5 Missiles), ZERO Super Missile Tanks, NO Long/Charge/Wave Beam, NO Power Bomb, NO Speed Booster, NO High Jump and NO Screw Attack. Here's my proof: As you can see, it's in Spanish. It says: "Time Used" "Items Percentage" "See you next mission !"

I see... my goal is usually to get a high percentage, as opposed to a low one, but whatever works for you.

Um, you know this means, that I beat the game at it's hardest exponent, right ? That makes me some sort of gaming pro. Anyawy, I had already gotten 100% in it before.

Thanks. The last boss was a pain in the ass, tough. I needed like 5 resets. Two attacks from it's claw, and it's Game Over(only 99 HP, 50 dmg per claw attack). And after that, there's an escaping sequence(where you have some time, I think it's 3 or 2 mins), and there were some black monsters that were EXTREMELY fast, and could 3 hit kill you. And the stupid Ice Beam didn't freeze em.

I've already put up the challenge.
If someone is willing to try it, say so in THIS topic.
Also, if someone tries it, I suggest using a Sequence Break guide in GFaqs, and, if something takes you too much time to do, reset, and try again as fast as possible. ;D
Also, just for the sake of it, I'll allow you to use Save-States.
If you manage to best my time using them, I'll recognize you're fast, but not necessarilly good.
If you manage to best my time(or get around it, say, like one or two mins more than me), WITHOUT using Save-States(like I did), I'll recognize you're both GOOD, and fast. ;D
HINT: Get the Varia Suit as soon as you can.

As a side note, if someone wants my proof, I still have my save. ;D Right now, I'm trying to make 100% as fast as I can. Too bad I can't remember how to get most things.

You can get most things by touching them

lol I didn't mean that. I meant, that some need you to find secret passages, and I don't remember most of them Also, by playing again(to get 100%), I found out that you could get the Screw Attack as soon as you get the Ice Beam(or around tht part of the game), which is a HUGE help. Generally, you don't get the Screw Attack until way later.

From the game itself, I would imagine.
