At the starting of this song, when I hear it, I think of a man who's gone psycho. He was once a doctor, who helped people, but now he's gone insane because of his troubles in life, especially the divorce between him and his wife and his relationship with a patient who he accidentally murdered a few nights ago. He ties up his children in the basement and makes them watch as he kidnaps person after person and straps them down to a table, then dissects them.
You can only see his back. He is wearing a long white doctor jacket and his hair is red and frizzed up, like a clowns. He laughs maniacally as he jerks at a victim in front of him on the surgery table. He's ripping their organs out one after another and placing them in metal boxes.
As he slowly turns around to look at his crying children who are forced to watch, he smiles evilly and we see his face. It is covered in white and red paint. His face is like a clowns. His eyes are evil and menacing. He turns back and rips an object from his victims' stomach.
We see blood squirting in all directions. He turns around again and his face is covered in blood. He licks some off his lip then raises a scalpal in his left hand, then slowly begins to walk towards his imprisoned children.
All of this takes place at the beginning melody of the song...

That's...odd. Real odd.
All I ever thought of was just somebody who, I don't know, think that they have the world figured out and act like they run it when they don't have any idea.

I don't think I understand this world or run anything lost, I simply created this image out of my own imagination. It just came to me because of what I felt deep inside, and imagined it all up.

New Vision:
I see a troubled young boy who is always being picked on and laughed at in school. He is not good in school work either. One day, he goes to the doctor and is notified that he has cancer. He only has a few weeks left to live. His father leaves him a few days later, to live with his new girlfriend in Mississippi. His mother becomes an alcoholic and starts inviting men over who beat her and him. The boy can't take it anymore. The next day at school, he climbs a ladder onto the roof of the school house. Children and teachers look up and watch him. Some try to stop him, while others laugh. Taking one last glance at the girl who he'd had a crush on since three years ago, who is watching him with sad eyes. He jumps.

Right. Meanwjile songs he is listening to are about bunnies and flowers. Yet he envisions chaos and destruction, and depressed peepz.

Basically, yeah, because I envision the songs' melodies with actual life-happenings...and as we all know...life on earth is have cookies withed up...good things happen...we are happy and react by doing good things and such...bad things happen...we are angry and react by doing bad things...meh, you all know how it goes. Pain, joy, comfort, all of those are mixed together in our lives.
