I've got, like, everything by Norton, Spybot (plus an older version of Spybot) Ad-Aware, Zone Alarm, Symantec, Zone Labs Pro (extended features I got when I bought Zone Alarm) and some other stuff.
I've got only two pop-ups blocked on this site, and only in recent days.
And, only on the main page.

Oh, that reminds me. I won't be coming on here much while I clean my freakin' computer.
See, my firewall denies almost any outbound connections I perform manually, but allows anything in or out that's not in my control. So, I've got just about every Spyware and Adware program you've heard of; BonzaiBuddy, Deskmates, Bargain Buddy, Shop at home Select...you name it. Not to mention, a hojillion "search assistant" toolbars (if you have one, get rid of it; it monitors your searches) I can barely see my screen now.
Plus, I've got trojans galore and even a few viruses. Some of them are those ones that don't do anything but slow the computer down, but are extremely hard to remove...

where do you get hijack this from?

Hijackers are annoying SOBs who use specially-formed tools (reminiscant to viruses, in certain senses) to access your computer, and, in dire situations, gain access to everything.
Note, though, that what they can do is usually very limited but often very destructive.

Brute force attackers are usually associated with hijackers (not brute force as in the Xbox game or programming style) which allows them to override certain security features by "attacking" certain parts of code.
This allows them to delete certain system files, copy files for themselves, etc.
Sometimes, a hijacker will have different programs, that will allow them to actually gain control of the mouse, or connect their keyboard functions to your computer.
Occasionally, they'll gain control of everything. But this is a very rare occurance, and few people have to deal with this.

You meant he affiliates minibanner ? That's not true. I come to this forum by clicking the minibanner on my affiliates, not by writing the thing, and I brought like 10 members from my forum here.
